Shaving Cream Finger Painting
We had alot of fun with this one.
Get some shaving cream (we got ours at the dollar store)
Make sure you are wearing "dirty" clothes
Spray some shaving cream on the table and play away!
We added drops of food coloring to see how mixing colors changes colors. (the food coloring didn't die the table but you could play on wax paper if you are concerned)
We drew shapes, letters and numbers in the shave cream. It was fun, messy and super easy!
Animal and letter sounds
Shawn came up with this activity and we had a lot of fun playing it today. Shawn loves animals and we are learning what sounds the letters make, so we combined the two and matched pictures of animals up with the letter they start with. Then instead of making the animal noise we made the noise of the letter that animal started with. Shawn liked to see which animals started with the same letter and would also match those up. What does your child like and how can you use it to teach letter sounds?
